Founded in 1951, Eesti Maaülikool (Estonian University of Life Sciences) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the large town of Tartu (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Tartu County. Officially accredited/recognized by the Eesti Vabariigi Haridus-ja Teadusministeerium (English: Minister of Education and Research, Estonia), Eesti Maaülikool (EMU) is a small (enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Eesti Maaülikool (EMU) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 65 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
